Major Changes as a Result of the Coronavirus

In the wake of the COVID-19 public health emergency the Office of the State Auditor (OSA) is currently closed to the public beginning Friday, March 13th until further notice. The OSA’s staff will be working remotely and are available during working hours via telephone or email. We will continue to provide a robust set of services to people across the state while limiting the opportunity for person-to-person contact. We encourage agencies and IPA firms to consider engaging in entrance and exit conferences via teleconference or other virtual option during the state of emergency. Additionally, we are currently in the process of collaborating with our partners at the New Mexico Accountancy Board and the New Mexico Society of CPAs to provide our stakeholders with the 2020 Audit Rule training as a virtual webinar, details are forthcoming.
